The PGA of Greece
invites it's members to participate in the Greek
PGA Championship. The qualifications to the
final, which will be held in the Glyfada Golf
Course of Athens, will be divided into three
regional groups:
·
Residents of
mainland Greece
·
Residents of
islands of Greece
·
International
residents outside Greece
Qualifications for
the mainland will be held in Glyfada Golf
Course, for islands in Afandou Golf Course of
Rodos & international in Germany.
The qualifications
format will be 18 holes match play between May
and October 2006. The draw will be made by the
Board of Directors and results have to be
submitted to the PGA. The first person to be
drawn will be the host for the match. It is his
responsibility to assure a starting time at his
home or favorite golf club.
If a possible date
cannot be found, the game has to be played by
the last Monday of each month at 9:00am. In case
of a no-show, the person is disqualified and in
case of the match not being held, the winner
will be decided by a draw of the Board of
Directors.
The qualifiers of
the international and island groups will receive
a flight ticket to Athens as well as a free two
day accommodation. The format of the final will
be an 18 holes 9-point game between the three
qualifiers. The winner will receive prize money
of 1.000€.
